Brian Jones’ functional wares are thrown, hand built or slip cast and finished on the wheel. He works in both porcelain and earthenware. His practice is characterized by cups, bowls, plates, tiles and other functional forms. His earthenware work is coated with terra sigillata, decals and glaze. Often he incises simple line motifs into the glaze exposing the clay beneath.
