Ed Brownlee is known for wheel-thrown and/or hand-built utilitarian pottery vessels. Forms include elongated ginger jars, jugs, pitchers, and vases. Surfaces are used as a canvas for stylized black and brightly colored graphic “paintings”. The subject matter is drawn from pop culture and portraiture.
