Andrew Balmer has made work in both earthenware and porcelain. Starting in about 2000, Balmer began to work in porcelain using a decorative slip technique. This work was high-fired in a soda/salt atmosphere. All his pots are functional.

Typical Marks

 Typical mark as of February 2017 is the initials “A.B” followed by year, slip-trailed onto base of pot near foot.
