Jenny Lou Sherburne's work reflects the humor, beauty, and growth she sees in her daily life, incorporating themes of wonder, curiosity, and joy.

Sherburne has been a studio potter for over thirty years and has operated studios in Chicago, Louisiana, West Virginia, Florida, and North Carolina.  She served as an apprentice in Berea College’s Ceramic Apprenticeship Program and later earned a Master of Fine Arts at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge under the tutelage of Joe Bova, Linda Arbuckle, and Bobby Silverman.

Her work appears in numerous publications and is shown and sold nationally. She currently lives and works in Bakersville, North Carolina.

Her inspirations range from garlic cloves to onion domes, from the Isle of Crete to the Land of Oz and from Antonio Gaudi to Dr. Seuss.
